HeliFlite granted FAA approval for Bahamas and Caribbean flights
Services to these destinations are a coup for the company's rapidly growing south Florida client base. An international journey from Miami to Bimini has been transformed into a leisurely, relaxing 24 minute flight.
HeliFlite starts up new routes to the Bahamas and Caribbean.

As of October 2023, HeliFlite has expanded its operations to include international routes to the Bahamas and Caribbean.

With existing operations in south Florida, HeliFlite will now offer a convenient and luxurious travel experience from all south Florida airfields to Bakers Bay (Marsh Harbor), Nassau, the Albany Resort and Bimini. Clients can have the flexibility to select the date and departure time from their homes or local operation sites, including Miami Beach's Watson Island Seaplane Base (MacArthur Causeway), Miami-Opa Locka Executive airport, Miami International airport, Fort Lauderdale airport and Palm Beach International airport.

Despite the proximity, travel from south Florida to the Bahamas can present challenges. An international journey from Miami to Bimini has been transformed into a leisurely and relaxing 24 minute flight, all thanks to HeliFlite's exceptional 24/7 flight operations team. This dedicated group works diligently behind the scenes, expertly coordinating every facet of the flight from pilot weather briefings, departure times, optimal routing, aircraft tracking and precise arrival times to handling Customs procedures, fees and processing, as well as facilitating ground transportation.

"We are proud to bring this service to market in an industry where luxury travellers once had to charter a plane from Miami to the beautiful beaches of the Bahamas and Caribbean," says CEO Kurt Carlson. "We aim to provide an easy, seamless, luxurious and, most of all, safe and secure travel experience to our clients, who have come to trust us for our reputation in the industry."

HeliFlite's reputation is the result of its expertise in safety protocols and the operation of a fleet of meticulously maintained, high-performance, IFR, twin engine helicopters, piloted by experienced ATP-rated aircrews. Additionally, the helicopters are equipped with floats for added safety during over-water flight.
