Lider Aviacao, the full-service Brazil-based executive aviation company, has expanded its aircraft charter and management fleet to better serve this segment.

“We expect, by the end of the year, to achieve a 42 per cent increase in our fleet in the aircraft charter and management unit,” says director Bruna Assumpção. “With the resumption of the cultural, sporting and corporate events segment, Líder has invested even more to continue serving our customers efficiently, always with safety and excellence.”

One example is the newest member of the company's air taxi fleet, a King Air C-90, which began operating about two months ago. This turboprop is extremely versatile due to its ability to land on various types of runways, including long, short, gravel, dirt, grass and asphalt.

“This aircraft will help us to further personalise the air mobility of our customers in the charter segment,” she continues. The aircraft complements the 18 aircraft in the company's charter and management fleet, made up of models such as the HondaJet, Hawker 850XP, Phenom 100 and 300, Premier IA, Learjet 40 and 45, King Air B200GT, Airbus H145 helicopters, Agusta GrandNew and others.

“We have noticed a significant flow of new entrants into executive aviation in recent years. In other words, people who had never tried this way of travelling are increasingly willing to invest in the benefits that the segment offers, such as greater movement in a country as large as Brazil, agility and practicality in shipments,” says Juliana Souza, director of aircraft charter and management. “This movement started to happen at the beginning of the pandemic and has continued until now. To give you an idea, we recorded a 36 per cent increase in hours flown for air taxi services in 2023 from January to June, compared to the same period in 2022.”

Líder is the first air taxi operator in Brazil to have its own app, which allows users to get quotes and carry out the entire aircraft charter process from booking to payment via cell phone. Users can also stay up to date with flight offers (empty legs) and contract the flight service group to carry out the entire operation via credit card or bank slip.

Líder also operates in the air ICU segment, with turboprop aircraft, jets and helicopters configured with advanced equipment for transporting patients. It has 50 years of experience in aeromedical transport and has performed more than 7,500 missions.
