DART gains approval for Bell 505 utility basket
Developed for the utility and VIP market, the basket allows operators to externally carry skis, cargo hooks, tools and equipment, and a variety of other items safely.

Dart Aerospace has received a new TCCA STC certification for the external cargo Heli-Utility-Basket specifically tailored for the Bell 505 aircraft. It is also currently pursuing FAA validation.

The Bell 505 Heli-Utility-Basket is the latest in Dart's proven line of baskets. It joins Dart's existing Heli-Utility-Baskets for helicopter models such as the H125, Bell 407, R66 and AW119, as well as other models for helicopters manufactured by Airbus, Bell, Leonardo and Robinson.

The Bell 505 Heli-Utility-Basket features quick and easy installation, allowing operators to externally carry skis, cargo hooks, tools and equipment, and a variety of other items safely. Developed for the utility and VIP market, The Dart Heli-Utility-Basket is constructed of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, coated with a high-gloss, scratch-resistant white finish. Safety is enhanced with a simple self-locking handle that assures lid closure and secures cargo during flight. A gas spring is utilised to ease lid opening and closing.

During the testing phase, Dart took great pride in its collaboration with local Montreal-based service centre, G2 Aviation. Dart remains committed to providing support for additional agency validations as per our customers' requirements. Obtaining this new certification is evidence of Dart's commitment to producing the most advanced certified mission equipment on the market.
