Adventure Pilot adds heli mode and checklists to EFB
The addition of helicopter charts, heliport databases and other enhancements to Version 12.1 enable pilots to enhance their situational awareness, optimise flight planning and improve operational safety.

Recognising the unique needs of helicopter pilots, electronic flight bag solutions provider Adventure Pilot has released iFly EFB Version 12.1, a highly anticipated update that introduces two innovative features, Helicopter Mode and Checklists.

Helicopter Mode encompasses a range of tools and resources specifically tailored to rotary wing aircraft operations including helicopter charts, heliport databases and other essential enhancements. The helicopter charts provide detailed visual references, obstacle information and landing site considerations, facilitating precise flight planning and execution. The heliport databases offer comprehensive information on landing sites, including communication frequencies and operating hours, ensuring pilots have access to vital resources for improved situational awareness and flight operations.

The Checklists feature is a valuable tool to streamline cockpit procedures, that seamlessly integrates with other functionalities, allowing pilots to access relevant information, charts and resources directly from the checklist interface. Pilots can now create and customise checklists within the iFly EFB software, ensuring that critical steps are followed accurately and consistently.

"I am excited about this release. Our implementation of Checklists is so intuitive and beneficial, every one of our customers will love this feature," says COO Juanita Boyd. "With the addition of helicopter charts, heliport databases and other enhancements such as a helicopter weight-and-balance, we aim to provide helicopter pilots with the tools they need to enhance their situational awareness, optimise flight planning and improve safety in their operations. At Adventure Pilot, we are committed to continually advancing our software to meet the evolving demands of aviation professionals."

Adventure Pilot's commitment to excellence extends beyond feature additions. Version 12.1 also includes performance enhancements and bug fixes, ensuring a seamless and reliable user experience. The Adventure Pilot team has worked diligently to address user feedback and incorporate valuable improvements, making iFly EFB Version 12.1 the best release yet.

The new version is now available to all iFly EFB users. Existing users can upgrade to Version 12.1 through the Adventure Pilot website or by visiting the respective app stores for iOS and Android devices.
