Ecocopter is certified Clean for aerial operations
This certification shows that Ecocopter is committed to improving energy efficiency through greater knowledge and the application of new technologies.
Ecocopter began to offset its carbon footprint in 2022 and became the first helicopter company in Chile to join the Vuelo Limpio (Clean Flight) programme.

Chile-based rotary operator Ecocopter has successfully completed the Energy Manager Professional Training Programme, part of the Industrial Energy Manager (IEM) diploma and certification run by the Energy Sustainability Agency (AgenciaSE) and the Chilean Ministry of Energy.

"This version of the IEM focused on giving a national and international energy context to the energy transition; providing knowledge on types, quality and depth of energy audits; deepening the importance of energy efficiency in decision making; and, finally, giving an introduction to energy management systems based on the ISO 50001 standard," says quality and environment coordinator Javiera Morandi.

Those who participated in the programme were able to deepen their knowledge and develop tools to incorporate into their processes for energy management within their respective organisations, in order to improve energy performance, identify opportunities for improvement, contract energy efficiency services and manage energy consumption.

"This is how Ecocopter, in addition to reducing its carbon footprint, is committed and is permanently working to improve energy efficiency through our professionals and through the application of new technologies for the optimisation of operations. This certification is our proof," says Morandi.

Ecocopter began to offset its carbon footprint in 2022 and became the first helicopter company in Chile to join the Vuelo Limpio (Clean Flight) programme, a public/private initiative that seeks to implement a national sustainable aviation programme and aims to improve the efficiency of freight and passenger transportation in the civil aviation industry, promoting good practices in energy management by airlines and aeronautical companies.
