Hong Kong-based transaction and consultancy Asian Sky Group has appointed Dennis Lau as consultancy services director. Lau has more than 15 years of experience working in both business and commercial aviation, and has a skill set honed in the UK as well as in Hong Kong.

He joins from Ascend by Cirium, where he was a senior aviation analyst. There, as well as leading the helicopter values research team, he also managed and delivered advisory projects for a wide range of clients including OEMs, leasing companies, airports and operators. He also delivered desktop valuations and appraisals of commercial aircraft, business jets and helicopters.

Lau says: “I'm very excited to be joining Asian Sky Group and to bring my extensive knowledge and experience to a highly renowned company in the industry. Being part of the combination of Asian Sky Group and Global Sky Media means that I will now have the data, expertise and network at my fingers that will allow us to deliver top tier advisory projects to a range of different clients."

Lau will lead the consultancy services department of Asian Sky Group, which is known across Asia Pacific and around the world for delivering world class market research and feasibility studies, business studies and implementation plans, as well as operation advisory and oversight services. Additionally, he will help support the group's aircraft transactions and sales support departments.

Managing director Nadav Kessler adds: “I have followed Dennis' work over the years and have always been very impressed with his deep and unique understanding of the market, and with the logic he applied toward explaining various trends and changes in the industry. I am sure he will be a great addition to our group, and his knowledge and skill set will undoubtably elevate the quality of our consultancy offerings and advisory capabilities.”
