Innsbruck, Austria-based operator Tyrolean Jet Services has taken over the operations and staff of four year old Saltzburg-headquartered operator Pink Sparrow.

The acquisition adds five aircraft to TJS’s existing fleet, giving it greater capability for charter and enabling it to broaden the scope of its operations to the transportation of organs, a core function of Pink Sparrow. Pink Sparrow has five Cessnas on the Austrian register; a Citation CJ1+, two Citation CJ2s and two Citation XLS+.

TJS managing director Stefan Wibmer sees other advantages: "With Pink Sparrow we can take over a successfully functioning company. The fleet expansion is an important and major milestone, but I'm also looking forward to all the new colleagues. We will get the best out of Pink Sparrow and TJS and develop together in all areas.”

Diana Langes bought TJS from founders Gernot Langes-Swarovski and Christian Schwemberger-Swarovski at the beginning of 2022. She plans further expansion of the fleet, with larger aircraft, as well as growth through the operation of third-party aircraft.

She says: "Flying requires planning, prudence, trust, know-how and classic service thinking. That's why I find aviation so challenging and exciting, and I'm very proud to be doing my part. It makes me all the happier, especially when you can even save lives as the crow flies, quickly and directly.”
