Cockrell Resources rebrands as Houston JetDirect
Following two years of dramatic change the company is poised to offer greater value to a larger number of aircraft owners and travellers. A rebranding focuses on its primary aircraft management and charter missions.

Houston Hobby airport, Texas-based aircraft management and charter company Cockrell Resources has renamed as Houston JetDirect Management and Charter, Inc and launched its new website. The FAA has received documentation and approved the name change.

“Following two years of dramatic change in the aviation industry, the company is poised to offer greater value to a larger number of aircraft owners and travellers. Rebranding now to focus on our primary mission makes sense,” says president and general manager Alberto Castro.

The company's charter fleet comprises a Learjet 45/75, a Cessna Citation Sovereign, a Challenger 300/350 and a Falcon 2000/2000LX, and it offers professional aircraft management for new and experienced aircraft owners, helping them get the most value from their aircraft ownership.

Castro notes that business jet take offs and landings are increasing at an estimated 40 per cent per year, and inventories of used jets are dropping to record lows below five per cent as sales surge.

The company has evolved since it was founded in the 1950s. The new name emphasises the company's focus on aircraft management, as well as its expanded charter offering of direct flights from Houston and other locations in Texas and the southwest US to destinations across the Americas.

With regional airport coverage under stress, Houston JetDirect charter flights go direct to small and remote destinations where commercial airline flights are not as frequent, or are not covered at all.

Ownership of the company has not changed and it remains privately held.
