Universal Spain earns IS-BAH accreditation
Having added six ground handling locations in the south of the country, Universal Aviation Spain has now achieved IS-BAH stage I safety accreditation at its Madrid headquarters.
Universal Aviation Spain has earned Stage I IS-BAH accreditation.

Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas airport-based Universal Aviation Spain has earned Stage I accreditation from the International Business Aviation Council under the International Standard for Business Aviation Handling (IS-BAH).

“Spain is experiencing record traffic, even exceeding pre-pandemic levels at some destinations. We are aggressively growing our network to enhance service and safety standards throughout the country,” says country manager Gonzalo Barona Jr. “Earning IS-BAH accreditation at our Spain headquarters in Madrid demonstrates that we are committed not just to meeting the pent up demand, but doing so at the highest levels of safety and service. We are committed to working toward IS-BAH accreditation at all of our locations.”

The IS-BAH is a set of global industry best practices for business aviation ground handlers that features at its core a safety management system (SMS). It follows the structure of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) programme and incorporates the NATA Safety 1st ground audit programme. IS-BAH is the global industry standard for handlers and operators around the world to meet the coming SMS requirements from the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
