Gavin Copus has been named business development officer at UK charter and private jet management company Voluxis.

Copus brings with him more than 30 years' aviation experience, which initially started with the operator, then under the name Interflight, in 1989. Since then he has worked for a number of companies, most recently spending 20 years with brokerage Air Charter Service and running its offices in New York, Hong Kong, Dubai as well as its private jets division in London.

Copus says: “My first real job in aviation was with Interflight, based at Gatwick airport, where I was an operations assistant. When the opportunity came along to go back to the operator that kick-started my career, I didn't have to give it a second thought.”

Voluxis CEO Andrew Boxer-Missen adds: “We are delighted to welcome Gavin on board. His expertise will be invaluable to the team, and he will oversee the strategic development of our aircraft management operations on both our UK and San Marino AOCs.”

Copus will be based at the company's London Farnborough airport office.
