Ascent adds helicopter charter in Chile to its offering
Eventually booking platform Ascent Flight Global aims to offer all-electric local air taxi services, and is building up business in the meantime by partnering conventional helicopter operations like Rotortec in Chile.
Rotortec has a mixed Airbus, Leonardo and Robinson gleet.

Chilean helicopter operator Rotortec has opened its charter fleet up to bookings through Ascent Flight Global, a platform previously only available in the Asia Pacific region. Ascent now offers rideshare and private flights across Santiago and the surrounding regions, providing airport transfers and on-demand air taxi, as well as scenic flights above Chilean natural marvels, like the Andes Mountains, lakes, coasts and active volcanoes.

“We are proud to partner with Ascent to pioneer air mobility in Chile. With our growing fleet of helicopters, perfectly fit for the purpose of air mobility, this partnership will enable Rotortec to unlock a new demand and maximise the use of our assets,” says Francisco Fluxá Hernández, ceo of Rotortec.

This launch marks an important milestone for Ascent, and Chile is just the first step as it expands to Latin America. Users fly, it says, with the peace of mind that their air mobility is made climate neutral as Ascent offsets its carbon emissions with United Nations certified projects.
