Albacete delivery centre eases process for Babcock customers
Babcock's Albacete delivery centre has been designed to give a VIP experience to customers during the delivery of their aircraft. The 750 sqm space within the maintenance facility can accommodate two helicopters.

Babcock Spain has unveiled its new delivery centre located in the company's maintenance centre of excellence in Albacete. This custom-built space has an area of 750 sqm and can accommodate up to two helicopters simultaneously. It has all the comforts so that the aircraft delivery process, which can take several days, allows the client to focus their attention on supervising the work carried out.

"For Babcock Spain, the creation of this delivery centre represents another step in the company's strategy of providing customers not only with the best repair and maintenance service, but also with an experience that makes them feel at home during their visit," says director of business development for defence and UAVs Jacobo Landeira.

The maintenance centre in Albacete has 14 bays to maintain 14 helicopters consecutively. It's from here that more than 110 maintenance technicians and support personnel perform virtually all maintenance and repair tasks to 31 different helicopter models, without relying on third parties.

In addition to numerous auxiliary workshops such as sheet metal, blades, composite, avionics and survival, the centre also has two simulators, one for the continuous training of pilots and the other for medical personnel on duty throughout the country.

Babcock Spain inaugurated the centre with the delivery and maintenance of a Slovenian Air Forces helicopter, now returned to Slovenia after the commissioning and subsequent commissioning flight.
