Adviser Burden joins Affinity team
Guy Burden has joined Affinity Aviation as a retained advisor. He brings with him a wealth of aviation knowledge gleaned from over 30 years in the industry.

UK-based aircraft transactions company Affinity Aviation has appointed industry-veteran Guy Burden as an exclusive retained adviser.

Since beginning in the industry as a technical sales executive with BAE Systems in 1989, Burden has held key marketing, sales and senior management roles with BAE Systems and Bombardier and, in 2010, was one of the founding partners in AXON Group, a London-based consulting business. He sold his shareholding in 2015 and since then has advised a US aviation business, a UK private equity investor and numerous other non-aviation investors.

“I am truly happy to be part of the ongoing Affinity story," says Burden. "A transparent, fixed-rate commission structure for an aircraft buyer or seller, coupled with experience, integrity and honesty, is the way forward in this heavily unregulated industry. It is even more relevant in the current environment where supply is severely limited and buyers are often being 'price gouged'. As a professional, it hurts deeply to see that. Buyers and sellers have always deserved better.

"I have known Affinity founder Andrew Hoy for 17 years; we worked together at Bombardier and I admire his huge breadth of experience as a current ultra-long range business jet training captain and his relentless integrity as a broker. It is with genuine delight that I am able to work with him again and help him to grow the business to better support buyers and sellers of business aircraft at this extremely successful time for the company”.
