Sharjah FBO growth continues for Gama
Traffic through Gama Aviation's Sharjah facility in 2021 was up on pre-pandemic volumes. And if early 2022 movements are anything to go by, that healthy trend looks set to continue.
Less than a week into 2022 and Gama has achieved 60 per cent of its budgeted monthly movements at its Sharjah FBO.

2021 was a successful period for Gama Aviation's FBO at Sharjah International airport in the United Arab Emirates, and that looks set to continue into 2022.

Gama's head of FBO services Tom Murphy explains: "Despite the constant challenges, we saw a 30 per cent increase on pre-pandemic volumes in Sharjah. Whilst this is an encouraging number, what we have been most proud of is the amount of new aircraft and clients that have visited and since become regular customers. For prolonged periods our apron reached 90 per cent occupancy, which considering our capacity is a success story in itself."

This momentum is extending into 2022. “Less than a week into 2022 we have achieved 60 per cent of our budgeted monthly movements," he continues. "The feedback we are receiving from our new clients is of their surprise at our proximity to downtown Dubai, the added benefit of a zero slot restricted airfield and a six minute taxi time from runway to parking apron.”

Built during 2018/19, and just 30 minutes from downtown Dubai with no slot restrictions, Gama Aviation’s Sharjah facility provides parking, full line maintenance and base maintenance services. It is also home to a VIP passenger lounge and crew facilities.
