Grant allows Carolina GSE to expand its workforce
A new grant will allow Carolina GSE to double its shipping and distribution centre, and it has committed to create 28 skilled employment opportunities for the expanded facility.
Carolina GSE celebrates being awarded a grant in what is described as a milestone moment for the company.

Carolina GSE is to expand its workforce and shipping and distribution centre in New Bern, North Carolina. The project recieved support from the North Carolina Department of Commerce Building Reuse Program.

The provider of aviation ground support equipment, avionics solutions and repair services has received one of 17 grants awarded as part of the building reuse program. Carolina GSE will increase its shipping and distribution centre from 20,000 square feet to 40,000 square feet. The expansion will create additional physical space for the maintenance and shipping of aviation equipment, increase its inventory and storage capacity and create space needed to install powder coat and blasting booth equipment.

Carolina GSE has committed to create 28 new skilled employment opportunities for its expanded facility to support its global customer base. It will be seeking skilled service technicians; inventory and shipping personnel; field service technicians; information technology personnel and powder coat technicians once the expansion is complete.

“This is a milestone moment in Carolina GSE's 20-year history of supporting the aviation industry,” says John Werner, Carolina GSE president. “I am thrilled that this project will impact our customers worldwide while simultaneously supporting our local workforce in Craven County.”
