North American FBO chain Ross Aviation has increased its footprint in Florida with the acquisition of Stuart Jet Center at Witham Field in Stuart, Florida. As a top finisher in annual FBO surveys, Stuart is known not only for its safety and service, but also for its 15-acre ramp and 371,000 sq ft of hangar space, which includes some 267,000 sq ft of space for large cabin aircraft. Those stats matter, as Ross Aviation at Stuart Jet Center serves as an accessible alternative to the increasingly busy Palm Beach International airport and south Florida's growing population of large cabin jets, for which the shade and protection from salt air of a hangar are desirable both for Florida-based and visiting aircraft.

Ross CEO Brian Corbett says: “In addition to its convenient location to south Florida and the Palm Beaches, Stuart Jet Center has one of the top ranked service teams in the country and a long-standing reputation for operations excellence. Members of the team have been contributors to business aviation in Florida for decades, and the opportunity to partner with them is a big win for us, and an important part of our strategic network expansion in Florida and nationwide. Dan, Doug and Jeff Capen will continue to play an important role in leadership at Stuart Jet Center, with Dan serving as VP and GM of the facility. Dan and his family's values and standards align well with our flight hospitality promise to customers and, together, we're committed to making a great facility even stronger.”

Ross Aviation's new location in Stuart is a key addition to the company's growing presence on the US east coast, which also includes Sarasota, Florida (SRQ), Westchester County, near New York City (HPN), Bedford, near Boston (BED), and the Cayman Islands.
