The bimonthly news publication for aviation professionals.
Luxwing has helped launch Skyalps, a new scheduled and ad hoc service from Bolzano using two De Havilland Dash 8s. Skyalps was founded by Josef Gostner, and flights will be performed on Luxwing's AOC.
“We chose Luxwing because is a reliable partner with whom we have been collaborating for years,” explains Skyalps' Alex Spinato. “It gave us the opportunity to start immediately with a professional structure, just to be on the market quickly with all the necessary guarantees.”
Luxwing sales director and captain Daniele Guida adds: “With the launch of Skyalps, we complete our range of services. We were already very active and growing in the aviation business, then we started cargo transportation using dedicated aircraft and certifications and now the new charter and scheduled flights division is starting up; we wish Skyalps good luck for this courageous entrepreneurial initiative.”
Luxwing now operates in all sectors of civil aviation, continuing to grow and managing a fleet of over 30 aircraft. Guida continues: “We continue to go from strength to strength, opening new bases in Italy and the rest of Europe. We have now inaugurated our headquarters in Italy, which will follow SkyAlps operations more closely, and by opening new bases, our Maltese company will be able to serve north and central Italy as well as central Europe. We are pleased with what we have achieved so far but we are looking for more. We are continuing on the path of growth and we are convinced that the industry can produce significant margins in the coming years, across all sectors.”
Luxwing says the key to its success lies in the skill and competence of its pilots, managing aircraft with maximum performance and minimum risk, while always maintaining the highest safety standards. Its mixed fleet includes Phenoms and Praetors.
