Jet Aviation gears up for Scottsdale opening
Despite COVID-induced challenges in travel and mobility this past year, Jet Aviation has continued to expand its footprint and facilities in locations most frequented by its customers. An unveiling is taking place in Arizona.
Jet Aviation acquired the Scottsdale Jet Center site in May 2019 and will open its 8,500 sq ft FBO and 30,000 sq ft hangar facility there in the coming weeks.

Jet Aviation's new FBO and hangar terminal in Scottsdale, Arizona will open for business in December 2020. This follows the company's expansion of its Palm Beach operation with the opening of a new 42,000 sq ft hangar and shared 11,270 sq ft FBO terminal in August 2020 and its acquisition of Arlin's Aircraft Service FBO operations in Bozeman, Montana the following month.

Despite COVID-induced challenges in travel and mobility this past year, Jet Aviation has continued to demonstrate its strategic commitment to expanding its footprint and facilities in locations most frequented by its customers. The company acquired the Scottsdale Jet Center site in May 2019 and will open its 8,500 sq ft FBO and 30,000 sq ft hangar facility at Scottsdale in the coming weeks.

“This is our sixth US FBO network project in the past two years, including acquisitions in San Juan, Puerto Rico in February 2019; Scottsdale, Arizona in May 2019; and Bozeman, Montana in September 2020, coupled with hangar and FBO facility investments in Teterboro, New Jersey in October 2019, Van Nuys, California in November 2019, Palm Beach, Florida in August 2020 and now the facility opening in Scottsdale,” explains Danny Larsen, VP of business development and real estate. “Built to complement existing facilities at Scottsdale airport using cost and energy-efficient construction practices, we further plan to install solar panels at the site next year.”

David Best, senior VP of regional operations and general manager, USA, emphasises the company's intention to continue pursuing market opportunities and acquisitions that show growth potential while complementing its portfolio: “We have promised our customers that we will expand to locations where demand is high and are fully committed to delivering industry-leading services as required. With Scottsdale airport in the top 15 busiest business aviation hubs in the US, this new opening underscores our commitment to strengthening our position as a leading FBO provider.”

In addition to being voted Best Small US FBO Chain earlier this year, ten of Jet Aviation's FBOs were acknowledged for outstanding performance in the 2020 customer FBO surveys conducted by Professional Pilot, AIN and Business Air News, including Palm Beach, Florida; Dulles, Washington; Teterboro, New Jersey; Houston, Texas; and Boston Bedford, Massachusetts.
