Wiking triumphs with further North Sea contracts
Wiking's hoisting services have been recruited by TenneT, a leading European electricity transmission system operator, and Bremen-based wind turbine specialist Deutsche Windtechnik, predominantly using the H145.
Turbines must be regularly serviced to ensure they are running smoothly.

Wiking Helikopter Service has been awarded another multi-year contract by TenneT TSO to provide helicopter hoisting services in the German North Sea, utilising the operator's H145 aircraft.

Wiking has also signed a helicopter service contract extension with Deutsche Windtechnik, to provide hoisting (with an H145) and crew change services (with an AW139 or H145) from its bases in Emden, JadeWeser airport and Husum to Deutsche Windtechnik’s projects in the German North Sea.

“We are extremely pleased with this important agreement, further strengthening our solid partnership with Deutsche Windtechnik. We thank Deutsche Windtechnik for its continued trust in Wiking and we look forward to supporting them in the years ahead,” comments Eike Engel, head of sales and marketing.

Wiking is a German helicopter operator, specialising in providing offshore helicopter transportation in the North Sea. It is also a Sikorsky Aircraft customer support centre and provides maintenance services on Sikorsky S-76 helicopters in Europe.

TenneT is a leading European electricity transmission system operator (TSO), with activities in the Netherlands and in Germany.

Bremen-based Deutsche Windtechnik offers a single-source full technical maintenance package for wind turbines in Europe and the US.
