Vegas' Papillon named as top touring company
It has been a year of recognition for Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters. In addition to winning top spot as voted by USA Today readers, it has received two Diamond Awards from the FAA for maintenance and compliance.
Papillon offers scenic tours of the Grand Canyon.

Arizona's Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters has received a number one ranking in the 2020 USA Today 10 Best Readers' Choice travel award contest for Best Helicopter Tour in North America. A panel of industry experts partnered with 10Best editors to pick the initial nominees and then winners were determined by popular vote.

“We are incredibly honoured to hold the title of the Best Helicopter Tour company in North America. It's a testament to our team's continuous commitment to providing award winning experiences for our guests in Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon and beyond,” says Brenda Halvorson, CEO of Papillon.

Earlier this year, Papillon received two Diamond Awards from the FAA for excellence in maintenance and compliance. Initiated in 1991, the FAA Diamond Awards are considered the highest industry honours within the William O'Brien Aviation Maintenance Technician Awards programme.

Prior to that, Papillon's safety management system obtained full Stage III registration with IS-BAO. IS-BAO Stage III represents the highest level of compliance with IBAC's standard of best practices for aviation operations. IBAC granted Papillon the designation following an extensive, multi-year audit of its safety practices, safety reporting, dedication to ongoing improvement and overall safety-oriented company culture. No other aerial tour company serving Las Vegas or the Grand Canyon has obtained IS-BAO Stage III designation.
