Make Tech Fly pledges to make managing flights easy
After a flight is booked or arranged, AvioNexus by Make Tech Fly offers the users the ability to invite the passenger onto the system. The passenger can then add their information and automatically share it.
Make Tech Fly MD Andrew Douglas is a 14-year industry veteran.

UK start-up Make Tech Fly has formally launched its signature product AvioNexus, a software as a service (SaaS) web application for private flight management. The web application is designed to manage private flights by allowing all parties to communicate within the platform, aiming to simplify the process by using real-time updates and data exchange within the secure system. It is optimised for both desktop and mobile devices and promises bank-level cybersecurity.

Aimed not only at brokers but also corporate flight departments, FBOs and operators, the system provides a range of services. These include the ability for clients to add other passengers to the flight, select meal choices, upload advance passenger information and request parking at FBOs, aiming to simplify the management of every aspect of the trip from one secure platform.

MD Andrew Douglas, who has worked in the business aviation and charter industry for 14 years running Air Advantage and At Pretium Jet Charter, says: “From our own experience and from talking to others in the industry we found there was a huge calling for a platform like this. There were little to no solutions available, with any existing software being outdated or not solving the full problem, either from a security or passenger management view. Therefore, we decided to make one ourselves, creating one piece of management software to tackle the lengthy and time-consuming processes, whilst deliberately building in the very important and current focus on GDPR and data security.”

After a flight is booked or arranged, AvioNexus offers the users the ability to invite the passenger onto the system. The passenger can then add their passport information themselves and automatically share it with the relevant parties, removing the back and forth previously associated with email systems.

Douglas continues: “The system has been designed around three core values of security, simplicity and visibility. Every aspect of the application is focussed on these values to ensure it is of the highest security level, makes the process as simple as possible for the user and solves the issues of visibility of information across all parties.“

Developed over the past year by a team of coders and designers based in Scotland, subscriptions to the software are offered on a monthly basis for users on an annual subscription.
