HeliOffshore founder member Rolfe ascends to CEO
Tim Rolfe was commended for his 'Outstanding Contribution to Offshore Helicopter Safety' at HeliOffshore's conference in 2018. Now he will lead HeliOffshore from the front, after the board voted him CEO.
Tim Rolfe will be taking things seriously.

HeliOffshore has named Tim Rolfe as CEO. Chairman Bill Chiles says: “After a rigorous recruitment process and considerable deliberation by the board, we are thrilled to announce Tim as chief executive, effective 13 July. Tim was a core founder member of our company, he co-leads our operational effectiveness workstream and was commended for his 'Outstanding Contribution to Offshore Helicopter Safety' at HeliOffshore's conference in 2018.

“He has had an exceptional 30-year career at Bristow Helicopters as a professional helicopter pilot in offshore, SAR, military support and VIP operations; and extensive experience across the key disciplines of large helicopter operations, pilot training and safety management systems. He rose to director safety (EAMEA) and global safety assurance, and has been a board member for various Bristow companies. His passionate dedication to safety is evident to all who know him. I am confident he will lead HeliOffshore through the current industry challenges to a stronger, safer future for all involved in offshore aviation.”

Francois Lassale has elected to remain as COO to ensure continuity.

Rolfe says: “What we have achieved as HeliOffshore would have seemed far-fetched at the start. We took a leap of faith, convinced that our industry is stronger and safer when we work together for our shared frontline. It is a huge privilege to join HeliOffshore today. It is an honour I take incredibly seriously as our industry is battered by economics and pandemics. Together, we'll build on all that has been achieved so far. This new environment and its challenges demands new ways to deliver our mission so no lives are lost in offshore aviation. There is much to do and I look forward to the years ahead.”
