Baires Fly brings in additional mitigation measures
Buenos Aires operator Baires Fly has performed fewer flights because of COVID-19, and has added facilities to make its operation more safe, including medical uniforms and a special stretcher for COVID patients.
Wearing PPE is now the norm.

Baires Fly of Buenos Aires, Argentina has continued with its medevac and organ transfer flights in recent months, but admits that its capabilities have been limited, because there have not been enough beds available to move patients from one province to another.

The company has eight aircraft at its home base of Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, and popular domestic destinations include Salta, Viedma, Bariloche, Rosario, Mendoza, Rio Grande, Cordoba, along with the international hotspots of Sao Paulo, Montevideo, Santiago de Chile, Asuncion, Rio de Janeiro and Guayaquil. “We performed fewer flights because of COVID-19, and we have added some features to make the operation more safe, including medical uniforms and a special stretcher for COVID patients,” says company representative Belén Grande.“Our most unusual flight recently was an air ambulance mission from Rosario – Islas Malvinas International airport to Tenerife South.”
