ACR hires industry veterans to boost Artex brand
With a combined 55 years of aviation experience under their belts, Marc Medeiros (Artex VP) and James Hunter (sales and product manager) will be looking to continue the growth of ACR Electronics' avionics product lines.
Marc Medeiros hopes to take Artex into the next phase of excellence.

ACR Electronics has appointed Marc Medeiros as VP of Artex, and has promoted James Hunter to sales and product manager. Together, they bring over 55 years of aviation sales, operations and business development experience to the Artex brand.

Medeiros is an engineer by trade with a strong background in sales and business development. An FAA licensed pilot, he has extensive experience with aircraft OEMs, repair stations and parts distribution. During more than 25 years of progressive technical, sales and management roles in the aviation industry, he has worked for companies such as Cessna Aircraft, Aeroflex Test Solutions, Zodiac Aerospace and Rockwell Collins. His most recent role was director of sales, operations and customer experience for AVI Aviation.

“After an extensive and careful search, we are delighted to be welcoming Marc to manage our industry leading Artex brand into the next phase of commercial excellence,” says John Nguyen, president of ACR Electronics. “We believe Marc's proven track record in aviation, combined with his experience across sales, business development and customer support, make him an excellent choice to lead our aviation initiatives.”

Reporting directly to ACR Electronics president John Nguyen, Medeiros will spearhead the Artex aviation team as they prepare to launch their 2020 product line-up that includes expanded kit offerings of the industry leading general aviation ELT 345 and the expansion of alkaline powered solutions for the transport market, including the new ELT 4000S Survival ELT.

“I am excited to join the Artex team and the company's mission to continue saving lives,” states Medeiros. “As a pilot I know the importance of having the best quality avionics on board, and I am excited at this opportunity to work with James Hunter and the Artex team so we can continue to deliver growth to the ELT product lines.”

Hunter, who has been managing Artex OEM sales for the past four years at ACR Electronics, has additionally been promoted to sales and product manager. With over 30 years' experience in the aviation community, he will be expanding his role to take over the product management of all new Artex branded products.
