Weston gears up for Cheltenham festival
Gloucestershire airport imposes a slot allocation for all aircraft due to the high demand for handling and parking throughout the horse racing week of Cheltenham Festival, which concludes with the prestigious Gold Cup.
Nick Weston is expecting a busy festival.

Weston Aviation is anticipating an increase in visiting aircraft during the Cheltenham Festival Week. The annual event is a highlight of the Cheltenham racing calendar, running 10-13 March 2020 and culminating with Gold Cup, the most prestigious race on the final day of the Festival. Weston Aviation is the preferred FBO service provider for Gloucestershire airport, 15 minutes from the racecourse.

Nicole O'Connor, Weston business development manager, comments: “We opened the FBO facility with hangar and private ramp less than three months before the festival in 2019. A year on, the services and facilities have been considerably improved and we have established a great network of clients and passengers, so we are anticipating a growth in movements based on the bookings already confirmed, which are ahead of last year.”

Gloucestershire airport imposes a slot allocation for all aircraft due to the high demand for handling and parking throughout the week. O'Connor and the team therefore recommend early booking to ensure slot allocation and extension requests can be secured.

Weston Aviation is the UK and Ireland's second largest network of independent FBO facilities, operating from Gloucestershire, Manchester, Humberside, Cornwall Airport Newquay and Cork airports. The company also has an expanding fuel reseller network and offers cargo and specialises in providing private jet and helicopter charters, making events like the Cheltenham Festival and all worldwide events ideal occasions to use its services.
