Toronto's MC2 completes ADS acquisition
Together, a Canadian avionics modifications shop and a design firm will offer fully integrated aviation services. Mod Centre has finalised its purchase of ADS.
Bill Arsenault founded Mid-Canada Mod Center in 1996 after recognising an opportunity to build a Canadian avionics installation and modification shop outside the US.

Toronto-based Mid-Canada Mod Center (MC2) has completed its acquisition of Canadian aviation engineering firm Avionics Design Services (ADS). Together, MC2 and ADS offer deeply integrated avionics system design and engineering, comprehensive certification services as well as installation and repair services.

“Merging the MC2 and ADS teams has given us greater momentum as we build a world-class fully-integrated avionics business,” notes MC2 president Bill Arsenault. “With such a vast array of services under one roof, so to speak, we are able to reduce the time it takes to develop the deeply integrated solutions our corporate and commercial customer base demands, while also providing a full range of avionics system support services. Together we are able to react more efficiently to client needs, which means they are the true beneficiaries of what we set out to do with the acquisition.”

“Over the past year, we've felt the positive effects of combining two entities with vast experience, a common culture and a desire to deliver the most effective solutions to our respective and mutual clients,” adds ADS division president Bob Gow. “While we previously teamed-up on a broad variety of leading edge STCs and successful projects, the combined team's capabilities continue to strengthen and grow, with a focus on meeting the specialised technical requirements of business, commercial and special missions aircraft operators.”
