ASG acquisition of Chapman Freeborn completed
ASG has completed its acquisition of Chapman Freeborn. The move will expand ASG's presence in key sectors and strengthen its capabilities, while the brokerage gains resources and access to a wider client base.

Avia Solutions Group (ASG) has completed the acquisition of 100 per cent of the shareholding in UK-headquartered Chapman Freeborn Group. The agreement was drawn up in June this year and all customary approvals for this transaction have been obtained.

The addition of Chapman Freeborn, whose areas of expertise include arranging the delivery of time-critical shipments, heavy and outsize equipment, humanitarian goods and other types of freight, widens ASG's service scope and allows the group to enter new markets and reach new clients.

Chapman Freeborn will maintain its existing product portfolio and continue to operate under its existing brands; Chapman Freeborn Airchartering, Chapman Freeborn OBC, Intradco Cargo Services, Logik Logistics, Magma Aviation and Wings 24.

Avia Solutions Group is a global holding company with 42 subsidiaries that include Lithuania-based charter operator KlasJet as well as MROs Jet Maintenance Solutions, FL Technics and Helisota. It is engaged in aircraft maintenance, pilot training, ground handling and fuelling, aviation IT solutions and business aviation and the addition of Chapman Freeborn's worldwide businesses will bolster the current business portfolio ownership to 110 companies in 32 countries worldwide, with approximately 5,000 professionals in total.

Having started business in Lithuania back in 2010, the Group currently has representative offices in the USA, UK, Poland, Serbia, Estonia, Russia, Thailand and Indonesia. Annual turnover exceeds €420 million, but the consolidated revenues of the two entities are forecast to reach one billion euros in 2019.
