Butterfly cuts rates for passengers taking in the sights
Butterfly Aviation was founded by prominent sports psychologist, author and documentary film producer Steven Ungerleider, and he is keen to offer excellent tour experiences while donating to good causes.

San Francisco Bay Area-based helicopter operator Butterfly Aviation is offering travellers 15 per cent off flights throughout the holiday season. A portion of proceeds from each flight will go back to local charities, including The Police Rescue Operation, Healthcare Foundation Northern Sonoma County and Corazon.

Butterfly was founded by prominent sports psychologist, author and documentary film producer Steven Ungerleider. In creating the company, Ungerleider partnered with experts in aviation safety, employed military trained expert pilots and created a concierge team that can curate unique customer experiences. Patrons include travellers looking for smooth, comfortable and quick transportation from all Bay Area airports, those seeking tours of the North Bay en route to Butterfly's winery and hotel partners and those interested in specialised flight tours throughout northern California.

“Our holiday ‘flightseeing’ tours are perfect for those seeking an exhilarating, new way to experience the beautiful Alexander Valley, Russian River, Sonoma Coast, Salt Point, Lake Sonoma and more,” says Ungerleider. “We take pride in curating special packages that could include tastings at wineries or culinary experiences with notable chefs. Plus, we give back. That's important. It's part of our mission year-round.”

Butterfly Aviation operates two Bell 407 helicopters equipped with VIP leather seating, noise-cancelling headphones and air conditioning. The company currently operates flights to and from San Francisco International airport, San Jose International airport, Oakland International airport, Gnoss Field in Novato, Sacramento International airport, Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County airport, Ukiah Municipal airport and Healdsburg Municipal airport. Children 14 and under fly for free.
