AirMed International's critical care operations have been re-accredited up to July 2022 by The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS). AirMed is a Global Medical Response (GMR) company.

“Accreditation by CAMTS is the ultimate seal of approval in our industry for the safety and quality of medical transport services," says AirMed president Denise Treadwell. "This public recognition is testament to the expertise that we demonstrate daily, the hard work of every employee to become the very best at performing their awesome responsibility to transport and care for our patients around the world.”

CAMTS accreditation covers AirMed's fleet of dedicated medical transports, paediatric intensive care, intra-aortic balloon pump for cardiac care, perinatal, neonatal and adult patients. The organisation's standards ensure AirMed's ability to address issues of patient medical care, aircraft safety and programme quality.

With global reach, AirMed International is one of the leading air medical transport companies in the world. Having performed more than 20,000 missions in all 50 US states and over 150 countries on six continents, AirMed offers skilled medical care and has some of the most experienced air medical crews in the industry.

The organisation offers medical care and bedside-to-bedside transportation on a worldwide basis from multiple strategically located bases. It is the preferred long-distance and international fixed-wing air medical transportation provider for many of the top hospitals in the United States, including the world-renowned Mayo Clinic.

AirMed International is also an approved carrier for the US Department of Defense and has flown American presidents and heads of state. Equipped with the latest medical jets and staffed by respected medical teams, AirMed is able to deliver a very high standard of care, and employs its own dispatch, flight and medical teams.

Global Medical Response employs 38,000 staff, and primarily performs emergency and patient relocation services in the United States, the District of Columbia and around the world. GMR was formed by combining industry leaders in air, ground, managed medical transportation and community, industrial/specialty and wildland fire services. Subsidiaries include American Medical Response (AMR), Rural Metro Fire, Air Evac Lifeteam, REACH Air Medical Services, Med-Trans Corporation and AirMed International.
