In the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian, Buzz Air is donating its fleet of Piper Seneca aircraft to fly supplies to residents of Grand Bahama Island, providing aid to those in the community who have lost everything.

Aircraft are departing daily from Space Coast Aviation in Merritt Island, Florida, loaded with cases of water, non-perishable foods, nappies, torches, pet food and other supplies to help residents impacted by the storm. Buzz Air is coordinating its efforts with local groups and churches on Grand Bahama Island.

“The people of the Bahamas are near and dear to us,” states CEO Marc Issott. “We fly there weekly and have many friends that we call family that have been impacted by the devastation. As soon as flights were permitted to the island, our first priority was to load our fleet with as many supplies as possible and send them to local churches, ensuring those who need it receive help.”

Buzz Air has received an overwhelming response from the local community in Brevard County and in Orlando, with generous donations of food, water, pet food and hygiene needs. Flights to the Grand Bahama Island will continue as long as donations continue to be received.

Buzz Air is a low-cost, on-demand FAA Part 135 charter airline, based in Merritt Island and operating throughout Florida and the Bahamas.
