Desert Jet Center waives fees for Angel patients
Desert Jet Center founder Denise Wilson flew her first Angel Flight West mission in 1998. The experience had a profound impact, and has led her to lend her FBO to the non-profit organisation at a greatly reduced rate.
Pilots flying for Angel Flight West donate their time and aircraft to assist those in need.

Thermal, California-based FBO Desert Jet Center at Jacqueline Cochran Regional airport (KTRM) is waiving ramp fees for all Angel Flight West volunteer pilots conducting flight missions in and out of the Palm Springs area and Coachella Valley.

Volunteer pilots donate their time and aircraft to assist non-profit organisation Angel Flight West (AFW) by providing free air transportation for children and adults with serious medical conditions or other compelling needs. In support of the programme and the philanthropic work of its volunteer pilots, Desert Jet Center is waiving fees missions arriving at its FBO in KTRM. The savings will help pilots minimise their personal costs associated with their donated flight.

Desert Jet Center founder Denise Wilson flew her first Angel Flight West mission in 1998, and flying for AFW has had a significant influence on her appreciation for the impact volunteer flying can have on pilot and passenger.

With the construction of Desert Jet Center's new terminal and hangar facility nearing completion, the FBO will welcome the many pilots who graciously volunteer their aircraft and time to assist those in need.

“Our family here at Desert Jet Center is honoured to support this wonderful organisation,” says general manager Roman Mendez. “We are proud to support the Angel Flight West mission and its outstanding team of volunteer pilots. We thank it for everything it does, and look forward to touching more lives together.”

AFW development director Mary Hunter adds: “We're already looking forward to sharing our success stories of lives changed thanks to the gift of flight. Thank you Denise for your leadership, and the whole Desert Jet team for all of your hard work and passion to transform your community.”

With Desert Jet Center's designation as the Corporate Aircraft Association preferred FBO at KTRM, pilots who are CAA members can also receive additional discounts on fuel costs.
