Fewer than one per cent of travel agencies are admitted for membership in Virtuoso, a global network specialising in luxury and experiential travel. Using aircraft from Sino Jet, Geostar has made the grade.

Sino Jet subsidiary Geostar, also known as the China Entrepreneur's Flying Club, has announced that it is has been invited to join Virtuoso, a global network of agencies specialising in luxury and experiential travel. Virtuoso has an invitation-only policy for partnering with travel companies, and has recently included Geostar to enhance its provision of bespoke services.

Since being founded in 2015, Geostar has arranged personalised travel experiences for business leaders and entrepreneurs in China. Geostar experiences, which use parent company Sino Jet's aircraft, include tours across the Sahara Desert, self-driving trips through South America, North and South Pole expeditions, and its signature trip, a dog-sledding tour and race through Alaska.

“Less than one per cent of travel agencies are admitted for membership in Virtuoso,” comments Geostar president Elyn Zhao. “This renowned network of luxury travel specialists leverages its annual sales of more than USD$26.4 billion to negotiate special upgrades, amenities, values and experiences exclusively for the clients of its member agencies.

“For us, this translates into complimentary room upgrades, airport transfers, special dining experiences, exclusive shore excursions and custom itineraries for our clients, offered by the world's best providers of upscale travel. We are very proud to have been invited to join Virtuoso and to be able to offer these incredible perks to our clients.”

The new collaboration forms part of a strategy to further grow business globally, including in North and Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. According to Zhao, membership of Virtuoso will bring a host of new and rare travel experiences and exclusive offerings to its clients. The new partnership will also see Virtuoso travel consultants join Geostar to further enhance their in-house experience advisory service.

Geostar has also secured several high-profile collaborations with popular brands to give its clients access to privileges while travelling. Geostar provides access to golf clubs, medical and wellness services, financial services and specialist high-end hotels and properties.
