First BBJ MAX 8 arrives at Comlux Completion
A BBJ MAX 8 is now with Comlux in Indianapolis for its interior completion. The team's digitised processes allowed preparations to begin back in August 2017. Some parts were made before the MAX was even finished.
Comlux is undertaking a first-ever cabin completion on a BBJ MAX 8 and has signed to take on two more in 2020.

Following green delivery by Boeing in December 2018 and subsequent exterior paint work, Comlux Completion has welcomed the world's first BBJ MAX 8 to its Indianapolis facility. The arrival marks the start of the first ever cabin completion project for the type, which Comlux plans to redeliver to its US-based owner before the end of the year.

The cabin interior is designed by New York-based Peter Marino Architect (PMA) whose work includes award-winning residential, retail, cultural and hospitality projects worldwide.

“We are honoured to be selected by the first customer of the BBJ MAX 8 programme to complete their aircraft,” says Comlux Completion CEO Daron Dryer. “Comlux has the customer at heart in terms of bringing their expectations to life, which will truly be showcased and enhanced by the luxurious and unique designs of PMA.” Dryer continues. “The arrival of the first MAX 8, together with two more in 2020, further establishes Comlux as an industry leader and innovator in completions on next generation aircraft.”
