Local designers refurbish Gloucestershire airport terminal
A team of local designers has spent the past three months providing a bright new facelift for Gloucestershire airport's terminal, while minimising disruption to private jet passengers. Now their work is done.
Gloucestershire Airport has refurbished the ground floor of its terminal building in order to attract more private jet users.

Following a major refurbishment from a local design and interior specialist firm, Gloucestershire Airport will now greet visitors with a modern new-look main reception, arrivals area, departures lounge and breakout spaces.

To fulfil the requirements of the upgrade, the airport looked to interior specialists Cobus Spaces to completely refresh the ground floor of the terminal building by creating a more aesthetically pleasing area to encourage more private jet users.

Lloyd Coldrick, managing director of Cobus, says: “Gloucestershire Airport is well-known as being the gateway to the south west, so we wanted to make sure passengers' first and last experiences of Gloucestershire were memorable.

“Having started the exciting project back in the summer, our team of experts worked tirelessly to create a modern, high quality corporate environment, which saw an overhaul of the arrivals area, departures lounge, security scanning area, main reception, waiting areas, washrooms, the pilots' restroom and breakout spaces.

“Despite the challenges of keeping disruption to a minimum in the terminal, which meant encountering a few delays and changes in the specification and programming of the project, the client was very pleased with the end result and we hope it will help the airport to continue to grow and prosper.”
