JetClass boosts main business jet route to three weekly
JetClass says that passengers using its new service between Vienna and Strasbourg can save eight hours of travelling - compared with the railway. The company consolidates passengers onto booked charter flights.

JetClass is increasing the frequency of its business jet flights between Zurich and Luxembourg to three days a week, and pairing up Vienna and Strasbourg, two cities in the heart of Europe that have no direct flight connection. The new schedule has already launched and will be effective until 28 February.

A newly-introduced schedule between JetClass' hometown of Vienna, Austria, and Strasbourg, the capital of the Grand Est region of France, will link previously unconnected cities, giving business and holiday travellers a new way to get around. Despite its interesting business landscape and equally breathtaking cultural life, Strasbourg is, what JetClass calls, an “aviation desert” with little to no direct flight connections with the rest of Europe.

The new direct flight will cut the average travel time between the cities from a nine hours and 20 minute train trip to a 90 minute flight. The Vienna to Strasbourg flight is scheduled to depart on Friday 7 and 14 December, with the return flight on Sunday 9 and 16 December.

“The schedule adjustments for the winter season embody the two most valuable advantages of business aviation: time-saving and flexibility,” comments Wagas Ali, the co-founder and CEO of JetClass. “Adding another connection between Zurich and Luxembourg shows that we are able to successfully compete with established traditional airlines, simply because frequent travellers, in addition to excellent service, are also looking for ways to reduce the hours wasted queueing up in crowded airports. The new connection between Vienna and Strasbourg showcases yet again with what ease JetClass is able to schedule business jets between previously unconnected city pairs, giving back almost eight hours of travel time to our passengers.”

JetClass says it is the first airline service to use artificial intelligence to determine its flight routes, analysing demand for each route against existing flight options in order to determine which flight itineraries will be offered as part of a dynamic schedule. Using this innovative in-house developed system allows JetClass to optimise each jet’s scheduling to reduce costs, with the aim of providing a superior service at an affordable price.
