West Star absorbs repair specialist Flite Components
West Star Aviation CEO Jim Rankin says that he sees 'great synergies' between his company and Flite Components, which specialises in aerostructure and composite repair and has extensive radome experience.

US maintenance organisation West Star Aviation has acquired Flite Components, an FAA/EASA Part 145 repair station. Located a few minutes from Dallas Love Field airport, the company supports corporate and commercial aircraft operators, MROs and OEMs worldwide. West Star acquired Dallas Aeronautical Services in May 2017.

Flite Components specialises in aerostructure and composite repair in addition to the overhaul and repair of thrust reversers, control surfaces, engine cowls, engine inlets, pylon and floor panels, and it also carries out radome repair and testing.

“We see great synergies between Flite and Dallas Aeronautical Services," says West Star CEO Jim Rankin. "I look forward to this partnership and growing the entire one-stop maintenance theme throughout our companies."
