ACS Spain celebrates 10 years with record results
Year by year the Spanish office of ACS has seen business increase. Now, at the end of its first decade, it is on course to exceed the 1,000 charter mark.
Air Charter Service Spain managing director James Fitzgerald.

Air Charter Service's Spanish office has celebrated its tenth anniversary by publishing half year results for the six months to 31 July, 2018. Revenue is up by 37 per cent and charter numbers have risen by 49 per cent.
Managing director James Fitzgerald comments: “2018 has been a very exciting year for us as we celebrate our tenth year of operation. We have grown our experienced sales team and are currently looking to move to bigger and better premises. It is proving to be an incredibly busy year so far. It has been especially pleasing to see an increase in larger cargo programmes; daily flights on an Antonov AN-12 for five weeks and one contract that involved six Boeing B747s in less than two weeks. The private jet division has also seen impressive growth, especially when it comes to heavy jet charters, and our commercial jets department was heavily involved throughout the World Cup.
“There was a moment recently where I realised that across the three divisions – private, commercial and cargo – we had eight aircraft in the air at the same time. It really hit home the amount of work and effort that our team invests in the job of keeping our charters running smoothly, and I believe that this is the real reason behind our strong figures for the start of the year.”
Fitzgerald concludes: “We opened our Spanish office ten years ago in 2008 and we have grown in terms of charter numbers every year since. We are currently on course to break 1,000 charters for the first time by the end of this year.”
