Able Aerospace expands opportunities with Nadcap accreditations
Able undertakes more than 10,000 FAA-approved component repair, overhaul and parts solutions. Accreditation by Nadcap will allow the company to seek out customers from another key industry sector.
Nadcap accreditations recognise Able's NDT, chemical processing and shot peen capabilities, which allow the MRO to complete more than 95 per cent of all jobs on site.

Arizona-headquartered aircraft repair and overhaul company Able Aerospace Services has expanded its ability to serve key industry segments with three new accreditations from Nadcap, the global programme denoting superior competency in aerospace-specific special processes capabilities. Able is a supplier of component MRO, approved replacement parts and completion services for almost 1,500 commercial and military fixed- and rotor-wing aviation customers in more than 60 countries.

These accreditations recognise Able's non-destructive testing, chemical processing and shot peen capabilities, all part of a significant specialised services programme that allows it to complete more than 95 per cent of all repair and overhaul jobs on site. It plans to pursue additional Nadcap accreditations in the year ahead.

The accreditations open the door for new contracts such as those from military and commercial fixed-wing aircraft OEMs, that require service providers to hold specific Nadcap qualifications. They also continue to advance Able's process focus across all of its products and services, including those not requiring Nadcap accreditation.

“Customers count on Able to deliver diverse solutions across multiple platforms and in locations worldwide,” says general manager Gabriel Massey. “We are already recognised by airworthiness authorities across the globe. Nadcap is the next step in that process, communicating to current and future customers that we comply with even the most vigorous expectations for quality and process control.”

Since 1990 Nadcap has been bringing together technical experts from government and the aerospace industry to establish requirements for accreditation and deliver a standardised approach to quality assurance for special processes in the aerospace industry. Accreditation and certification enables the company to continue its growth within the market and do so in accordance with the highest standards.
