CIOPAER adds two Helionix H135s to enhance state security
CIOPAER is a great admirer of Airbus Helicopters products, and its police-configured H135s will be the only two of their kind in the world when they enter service. Stability, range and equipment set the type apart.
Brazil's police operator has an all-Airbus fleet.

Brazilian police operator CIOPAER (Coordenadoria Integrada de Operações Aéreas) has taken delivery of a pair of H135 aircraft from Helibras. The two multi-mission helicopters are the first Helionix-equipped H135s in police configuration, and will strengthen the public security of the state of Ceará as well as providing aeromedical support in its interior.

"The pilot's work is facilitated by the stability of the aircraft, keeping it fixed at the same point," says PR officer Marcus Costa. "This aircraft has the capacity to transport two pilots and five crew, with flight autonomy of more than three hours and features special equipment such as a searchlight, electric winch, kit for rescue and infrared camera."

Helibras president and head of Airbus Helicopters in Brazil Richard Marelli adds: "These deliveries reinforce our partnership with the Government of Ceará and expand CIOPAER's twin turbine fleet of Airbus aircraft, demonstrating the excellent cost benefits of these models. "

CIOPAER already operates six Airbus helicopters, comprising two AS350s and four EC135 and EC145s. The state also has local support from Helibras with the permanent presence of a technical assistant, as well as the support of a partner workshop in Fortaleza.

More than 200 H135 family helicopters are deployed on police missions around the world. The global fleet with more than 1,270 helicopters in operation has surpassed five million flight hours.
