Astonsky parent agrees purchase of Le Bourget FBO
One French aeronautical group is stepping up to Paris Le Bourget after agreeing to acquire and renovate 6,920 sqm of offices, three hangars and more than 16,000 sqm of parking stands.

Clair Group has signed a purchase agreement with Signature Flight Support for Terminal 2 at Paris Le Bourget airport. The arrangement will be effective from 2 January, 2019.

The acquisition is part of president Charles Clair's group development strategy that aims to provide a comprehensive service ranging from pilot training and charter to ground handling and maintenance. The project represents a strategic move forward for the group as the purchase involves the ownership of offices, hangars and parking stands available for any type of aircraft. It will raise the profile of FBO AstonSky, which has been based at Toussus-le-Noble airport since 2012.

Clair says: "The ambition of Clair Group is to make AstonSky a 'luxe à la Francaise', a particularly French luxury and a reference to an increasingly demanding clientele." To this end a brand new terminal offering services for both passengers and crew will be completed in June 2019 for the Paris Air Show.

Clair Group includes private jet operator and airline Astonjet, French flying school Astonfly, ground handling company AstonSky and Toussus-le-Noble airport-based maintenance centre Astontec.
