Bristow Group has received a three-year contract extension from Perenco UK to provide aviation support in the southern North Sea until the end of 2021. Serving the oil and gas exploration and production company's operations, Bristow plans to use up to five AW139s for the work, increasing its current Perenco fleet by two.

"This extension is a direct result of our continued commitment to safety and excellence in service for our clients," says president and CEO Jonathan Baliff. "We recognise that Perenco placed its trust in Bristow to continue to transport its most precious assets – its people – and we look forward to continuing to deliver on our promise.

"We provide cost-effective solutions and best-in-class service while continuing our tradition of outstanding safety and performance for our clients worldwide."

Bristow's AW139s can carry up to 12 passengers with a total payload of 6,800 kg and a 3.4 cubic metre baggage compartment. They have a cruise speed of 150 kts and a range of up to 343 nm. Bristow's global fleet includes 30 of the type.
