HeliAir Sweden has sold another MD500, leaving one remaining in its fleet. Accountable manager and CEO Aram Rubinstein intends to order one or two H125s from Savback Helicopters, the sales representative of Airbus Helicopters in Sweden, and just employed new pilot Axel Hellström. “Axel is an instructor and will immediately be deployed on long line work. This means we can get him up to speed with it before EASA's new rules come in, which will make it hard to qualify as a long line pilot,” says Rubinstein.

“The decision to change to Airbus Helicopters and Safran helicopter engines has already proved to be a success. We visited Safran in Pau, France, and were impressed by its customer service and dedication to helping us understand the advantages of joining its engine programme, something I can highly recommend.”
