Atlas Helicopters, based in Hampshire in the UK, has purchased an AS355N helicopter, which will be available for immediate charter. The company's charter department has experienced consistent growth since Atlas relocated its operation to Lee on Solent in February 2015.

Says MD Mike Burns: “The addition of the Airbus AS355N will give us a greater passenger and payload capability from London Battersea Heliport. With its increased power and lifting capability, we will be able to offer good value to the customers we quote to. It is already one of the most popular and versatile helicopters in its class and enables us to carry five passengers in luxury with a cruise sped of 125 knots and a range of 435 miles.”

Having celebrated its 15th anniversary earlier this month, Atlas now operates three helicopters, including a further AS355 and an Agusta A109E Power. Burns and his team are seeking to expand further into helicopter management, with additional investment planned into 2018.
