Volare handles Global upgrade plus Challenger and Hawker contract
Volare Aviation, headquartered in Guernsey but with an operations base in Oxford, has added a Global Express to its fleet for an existing owner who upgraded from a Challenger.

Volare Aviation, headquartered in Guernsey but with an operations base in Oxford, has added a Global Express to its fleet for an existing owner who upgraded from a Challenger. “Our client found that the range of the Challenger was no longer satisfactory given their worldwide business interests,” states COO Lucy Clitherow. “This owner has always preferred Bombardier products and the Global was a natural move for him.

“Dispatch reliability has been very good, and more of our existing customers have expressed a desire to upgrade.”

The operator has also taken over the management of a Challenger 601 and a Hawker 900XP for another owner. The Hawker is currently undergoing maintenance and a full interior and exterior refurbishment, while the CL601 has just completed a full interior refurbishment and is being used for owner flying, charter and lease.

Since the issue of Volare's Guernsey AOC in May 2016 it has received UK CAA Part 145 approval to support Bombardier, Hawker and Embraer products. Expecting to add more aircraft and helicopters in the coming 12 months, it remains the only company to offer an AOC based in the Channel Islands.
