The UK's National Police Air Service (NPAS) has signed a three-year fixed wing maintenance contract with Gama Aviation for its Vulcanair P68R fleet.

The contract covers the main-tenance of four aircraft including daily flight inspections, line main-tenance, scheduled maintenance and the supply of aircraft and mission equipment parts. The aircraft, which are capable of flying in all weather day and night, will be deployed on mission-critical tasks across England and Wales.

Charlotte Daynes, senior category manager for Yorkshire and the Humber regional procurement team, says: “After a thorough, fair and transparent tender process we are pleased to award the contract to Gama Aviation, which put forward a competitive bid of impressively high quality.
