Embraer delivered 43 executive jets in the fourth quarter of 2016, 25 of which were light jets and 18 large. Its backlog at the end of the year totalled $19.6 billion.

Daher delivered 54 TBM 900 and 930 aircraft in 2016, two thirds of which were 930s. This includes four to the UK, two to France and one apiece to Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Poland. The OEM is also now offering the TBM 900 with Garmin's latest G1000NXi integrated flight deck.

TAG Global Training is launching two scholarship programmes in association with Women in Corporate Aviation: a ground school pilot training scholarship and a cabin crew attestation scholarship. Current WCA members aged over 18 can apply for the schemes between January 9 and March 26. TAG Global Training is also celebrating its 10th birthday this month.

Satcom Direct is to sponsor the inaugural Wings of Business awards, which will take place in Moscow on 17 February this year. The event is hosted by the Russian United Business Aviation Association.

JetSmarter has opened a base in London as part of its ongoing European expansion. It now offers services in more than 170 countries.

French retrofitter EAD Aerospace is due to receive an STC from EASA to enable the installation of Honeywell JetWave GX high-speed satellite communications hardware on Airbus A330 series aircraft. Honeywell has also received EASA certification to install JetWave on the A319, while EAD Aerospace is currently working with a European MRO to fit the JetWave fuselage-mounted antenna on a VIP A330 for a Middle Eastern client.

Jet Aviation's maintenance centre in Geneva has completed its first Honeywell Primus Elite DU-875 cockpit upgrade in conjunction with its second 120-month heavy check on a Global Express.

Greek FTO Global Aviation has installed a second Elite FNPTII simulator at its base at Pachi airport, Athens.

RUAG Aviation's Munich location has completed more than 15,000 flight data recorder maintenance events. With a guaranteed turnaround time of three days, the facility completes on average 700 units per year.
