Austria's International Jet Management has expanded its European fleet and is looking to do the same in the Middle East and Asia. Its most recent addition was a factory-new Global 6000, based in Europe. “The owner uses the aircraft about 70 per cent of the time and for the remaining 30 per cent it is available for charter,” says CEO Felix Feller. “We already have a few Globals in our fleet, so this fits in very well with our business model.”

The company operates a total of 30 aircraft, including Globals, Embraers and several Falcon 900EX EASy, as well as Challenger 300, 350, 605 and 650. “The Global is our most popular aircraft type,” Feller explains. “It is an attractive aircraft from a cost point of view and is also very nice to operate. Owners and passengers enjoy it. It is a popular aircraft now because the prices are in a good range.

“Our Middle East activity is increasing and we have been working very hard over the last 12 months to establish ourselves there, as we already have three aircraft in our UAE fleet. We have a joint venture with the Middle East company MENA Aerospace called IJM MENA, which recently celebrated its first anniversary. MAE Aircraft Management WLL, its subsidiary, is the AOC holder in Bahrain.”
