Italian helicopter operator Elitaliana has taken delivery of its first AW169 from Lease Corporation International. It is the first of three such aircraft that will be leased from LCI to support to support EMS and SAR missions. The type will eventually replace the AW109s that Elitaliana currently operates.

The AW169 can accommodate up to 10 passengers. Says Elitaliana president Prince Manfredo de Windisch-Graetz: “It is fitting for us to introduce the latest Leonardo helicopter type into operation from our Rome base, providing enhanced EMS services within the Lazio region.

"We are delighted to be working with LCI Helicopters and we look forward to further developing our relationship over the coming years.”
