Recruitment consultancy Oaklands Global has been recognised as a corporate partner of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS). Based out of Tunbridge Wells in Kent, UK, the company has been active for three-and-a-half years and says that business aviation accounts for 60 per cent of its work, recruiting for flight and cabin crew, engineering and supporting functions.

“We have been looking at RAeS for quite a while now; I noticed the calibre of its members and I was intrigued by how impressive the standards are,” says director William Finden. “As a corporate partner, you are putting yourselves in a bracket where you need to represent yourselves to a very high level. We consider ourselves at the top of our game and so are our clients, so it is great to be recognised.”

Finden sees several challenges in the market, including a huge demand for pilots and licensed engineers. “These positions require highly skilled workers with licences that are expensive or time-consuming to obtain,” he explains. “Such demand has been around for many years and I see no signs of it stopping.”
