Russian fuel and ground handling supplier Capital AviaNeft is enjoying swift expansion across the Russian and CIS territories, having formed in 2014. “Our main principle is to let our client feel at home while being in any airport across Russia,” states CEO Givi Tkemaladze. “Russia and CIS countries become more hospitable with us and we pride ourselves on flawless ground handling, even in the most remote destinations.”

The company undertakes door-to-door business aviation activities and also provides support to commercial airlines and cargo operations. “Our team are specialists in business aviation with almost 10 years of experience in both international and domestic companies,” adds Tkemaladze.

“We have direct agreements with 60 airports in Russia and the interests of our business stretch far beyond the country's borders. Our company is represented in Georgia and Belarus, and at the beginning of 2016 we signed agreements with Ukrainian partners in Zhuliany and Boryspil airports. The most recent news is that we entered the Kazakhstan business aviation market, and we are very proud of that. It is considered to be one of the most promising and yet one of the most closed markets among the post-Soviet countries.

“We created a new joint venture called Fuel For You KZ which will become an alternative fuel and handling services supplier at Astana and Almaty airports.”

In addition to its ground handling activities, Capital is an independent supplier and refuelling operator in Russia, the CIS countries and Georgia. It is also an exclusive partner of Shell and Air Total in Russia, and has a loyalty programme called Capital Bonus which enables clients to postpone payments on all types of ground handling for up to 30 days.

Tkemaladze is not concerned about fluctuations in oil price. “The oil business in Russia is structured in such a way that when the world oil prices drop, in Russia it is growing. That's why price fluctuations have a rather positive effect on us.

“In the short term we are going to open representative offices in Shymkent, Karaganda and Ashgabat airports. We will be implementing quality standards across each strand of our business and develop long-term contract liabilities,” he concludes.
